Relationship Between Religious Attitude and Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Symptoms in University Students in Iran

A considerable proportion of young adults studying at universities have a mental disorder. Previous research has shown negative relationship between various religiosity and psychopathology measures, with different strengths this correlation depending on the measure. The aim present study is to investigate strength association religious attitude depression, anxiety stress in Iranian university students. Thirty-three students from two filled Religious Attitude Scale for University Students (RASUS), Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Depression, Anxiety Stress (DASS-42). correlates negatively all psychopathological variables moderate effect size (e.g., BDI-II: r = -.47; p .006). When dividing sample low vs. high people, there were significantly more without depression symptoms group than group.
